In a radio piece aired on Philadelphia’s WHYY NPR affiliate, reporter Jessica McDonald looks at how Project H.O.P.E., a Federally Qualified Health Center in Camden, is battling opiate addiction in its community. The center’s physicians are able to better treat their patients thanks to an innovative program funded by The Nicholson Foundation. Through the ECHO tele-mentoring model, Project H.O.P.E.'s physicians are learning from top specialists how to adopt state-of-the-art approaches to buprenorphine treatment for their opiate-addicted patients.
