The New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute has released a landmark report, Medicaid 2.0: Blueprint for the Future, funded by The Nicholson Foundation. The Blueprint lays out a detailed plan to modernize New Jersey’s Medicaid program, which will allow the State to achieve sustainable improvements in the quality, cost, and outcomes of care for Medicaid beneficiaries.

Primary Care Physicians Now Connecting With Specialists Via NJ ECHO Hub

New Jersey’s Academic Medical Center Project ECHO Hub, run by ​RWJ Partners, has kicked off the first ​two ​telementoring sessions—one focused on pediatric​s​ and one on ​complex ​endocrinology​.​ Project ECHO connects physicians working in the state’s healthcare safety net to multi-disciplinary teams of specialists to ​increase their capacity to treat complex conditions. NJ-based PCPs can still register to participate.​

Arturo Brito, MD, MPH, Named Executive Director of The Nicholson Foundation

Arturo Brito, MD, MPH, joined The Nicholson Foundation on March 13, 2017 as its Executive Director. A pediatrician with a public health background, Dr. Brito was previously the Deputy Commissioner, Public Health Services, of the New Jersey State Department of Health.
