Child Care Connection, Inc. is a child care resource and referral agency that promotes quality child care services in the greater Trenton community through a multi-pronged approach of parent information, child care resource development, child care provider training, and advocacy.

This project supports the collaboration of Child Care Connection with two county-based child care resource and referral agencies: Programs for Parents, in Essex County, and Community Child Care Solutions, in Middlesex County. Its aim is to improve the quality of care in 36 family child care homes in three low-income urban areas—Trenton, Perth Amboy, and Newark. The project is a partnership with the State of New Jersey to pilot Grow NJ Kids in the family homes. Grow NJ Kids is the State’s early childhood quality rating and improvement system. The three agencies assess program quality and offer a variety of interventions to improve the quality of the participating family child care programs.
