Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) offers a broad range of behavioral health (mental health and substance use) services. UBHC, which is a component of Rutgers University Medical School, provides clinical care, conducts research to develop new treatments, and trains behavioral health professionals.

This project brings together the major physical health and behavioral health stakeholders at Rutgers University to develop and propose a plan to create a new model for integrated medical and behavioral health training and education. The intent is to better prepare current and future practitioners to deliver integrated care to patients. The project involves the Schools of Nursing, Social Work, Applied Psychology, Pharmacy, and Dentistry, and the two Medical Schools, with special emphasis on psychiatry, and primary and family medicine.
