New Jersey HealthySteps Analysis

Project Goal: To serve as regulatory consultants and identify payment streams available to sustain and spread the implementation of the HealthySteps model in New Jersey.  HealthySteps is a model that integrates behavioral health into pediatric primary care.

Project Description: This project supports the research and analysis of different payment streams to identify ways in which to sustain the delivery of the HealthySteps model in New Jersey.  Seton Hall University School of Law will work closely with Zero To Three’s HealthySteps national office and three of Hackensack Meridian Health’s pediatric primary care sites and provide recommendations on how to secure identified funding opportunities to spread the model throughout the Hackensack Meridian Health system and to other sites in the State.

Zero to Three’s HealthySteps Program (HealthySteps) is an organized, integrated pediatric care model.  Like many integrated care programs, HealthySteps is multidisciplinary and seeks to combine pediatric medical care, behavioral health care, early education services, family support/education services, and other services, all intended to focus on the needs of children from birth to age three and their families.
