The New Jersey Community Development Corporation (NJCDC) is a comprehensive community development and social service organization located in Paterson, New Jersey.

This project supports the expansion and strengthening of early childhood programs within the Great Falls Promise Neighborhood, a community development initiative in Paterson modeled on the Harlem Children's Zone approach. The project, which focuses on children ages 0-5 and their parents, is the early childhood component of a pipeline of comprehensive services designed to facilitate children's readiness for college and/or a career.

This year's support is helping NJCDC expand its Early Learning Network of early childhood centers to include all eight centers in the neighborhood and begin to identify and engage family child care providers. The project is offering parenting information and support to more than 150 families through a Parent Academy focusing on the pregnancy through age 3 period, a Parent Nurturing program for parents of 3- and 4-year olds, and connection to evidence-based home visiting services. The enhanced Neighborhood Help Center is the hub for expanded community outreach and partnership activities to support positive family life. The grant also provides resources to support the infrastructure of NJCDC.
