In late 2019 The Nicholson Foundation announced its plan to close at the end of 2021, after awarding more than $150 million in grants over 20 years.
Throughout its final year, the Foundation committed to sharing information about how we did our work and what still needs to be done to change systems in New Jersey to better serve individuals and families caught in challenging lives. It’s our hope that by sharing this information—including major accomplishments, who we supported, and what we learned —others will continue and build upon these efforts to improve the health and well-being of the state’s residents.
Below you’ll find links to summaries posted to our website throughout our final year. We invite you to read them, share with others, and also let us know if you’d like to learn more.
