The Foundation closed its doors in December 2021, but its legacy lives on in its book <em>Changing Systems, Changing Lives: Reflecting on 20 Years<\/em>, which describes the Foundation\u2019s history and work.<\/p>\n<p>Now, through its blog, the Foundation has made it even easier for organizations and professionals engaged in similar work to access and benefit from the experience and results described in <em>Changing Systems, Changing Lives<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>One series of blogs, \u201cKey Takeaways,\u201d summarizes lessons the Foundation learned through its grantmaking on how to tackle important issues such as elevating best practices, finding and nurturing effective partnerships, and developing future leaders.<\/p>\n<p>A blog series coming soon, \u201cFramework for Systems Change,\u201d highlights how the Foundation\u2019s work is relevant to broad and diverse range of audiences\u2014not only philanthropies, social service organizations, and government agencies, but also academicians, researchers, and practitioners. This series of blogs describe how the \u201cNicholson Model\u201d exemplifies components of a new model for systems change published in 2023 in <em>The Foundation Review<\/em> by Drs. William Brown of Texas A&amp;M University and Wynn Rosser, the new Texas Commissioner of Higher Education.<\/p>\n<p>Future blogs, called \u201cThen and Now,\u201d will show how projects featured in <em>Changing Systems, Changing Lives<\/em> are continuing to thrive. The first two \u201cThen and Now\u201d blogs discuss the growing ecosystem of projects that emerged from the Foundation\u2019s support of the Nurture NJ initiative. Nurture NJ is a multi-sector statewide campaign to transform care systems and dramatically improve maternal and infant health in New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>The Nicholson Foundation\u2019s book <em>Changing Systems, Changing Lives<\/em>\u2014is available to schools, organizations, and individuals.
