This portion of the webinar takes an in-depth look at how systems change can occur in health services. It includes five segments:
- First, Dr. Kim Boller introduces her fellow panelist, Dr. Denise Anderson.
- Second, Dr. Boller briefly describes the work of The Nicholson Foundation and the New Jersey context for that work.
- Third, Dr. Boller discusses the Foundation’s pursuit of complementary approaches in its maternal health work and uses this example as a lead-in to Dr. Anderson’s presentations.
- Fourth, Dr. Anderson describes how the New Jersey Department of Health partnered with the Foundation and others to make improving maternal health an important priority for the state.
- Finally, Dr. Anderson describes the origin and development of the Center for Health Equity & Wellbeing, New Jersey’s Public Health Institute.
