The Nicholson Foundation and the Center for Nonprofits & Philanthropy Jointly Sponsor “Unlocking Systems Thinking: Tools for Transformation” Webinar
The Nicholson Foundation is partnering with the Center for Nonpro ts & Philanthropy to sponsor “Unlocking Systems Thinking: Tools for Transformation,” a 3-hour virtual webinar on May 13, for professionals working in the systems change arena.
The Center, located at Texas A&M University’s Bush School of Government and Public Service, supports high-quality research, professional outreach, and engaged learning to promote a vibrant nonprofit and philanthropic sector in Texas and beyond.
“Unlocking Systems Thinking,” which will be held on May 13, introduces systems thinking principles and their vital role in driving meaningful change. Through interactive discussions, expert presentations, and real-world re ections, participants will gain practical insights and tools to help enact change in the complex social systems in which they work, such as health and human services and education systems.
The core of the webinar will be an exploration and application of the systems change framework developed by William A. Brown, PhD of Texas A&M University and Wynn Rosser, PhD, Texas Commissioner for Higher Education. Drawing on extensive literature from systems change and performance management, this framework includes seven key components of successful systems change. The framework applies, and expands on, the “Nicholson Model,” a systems change approach used by The Nicholson Foundation.
